We went there after reading the reviews in Booking.com, so we knew what to expect - a nice spacious soviet era hotel with practically non-existent service. But we were scheduled to stay for the night only having arrive late in the evening and leaving early next morning before the complementary breakfast was served. So, we were pleasantly surprised by the people at the reception, who helped us by suggesting a wonderful restaurant nearby, calling for the taxis to take us there AND by providing packed breakfast packages before we left at 6:30 in the morning. Presence of an elevator (lift) was very helpful for senior persons like us. Wonderful place to stay, if you know what to expect.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were very happy with the choice. Could also walk to the city center in about 15 minutes. The city center park is an amazing place. There was kind of a mix up when we left some expensive shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Being the husband I said oh well what are ya gonna do, LOL? My wife called and a very nice man named Amal said he would grab it. We went by the next day and no one could find it. Also there was money left for the very nice woman who cleaned our room. A very polite woman called my wife to try and solve this problem. I just wanted ice cream. Amal called my wife the next day and said no, he was not on shift so no one knew where it was AND said we forgot some money. We got the shampoo, the cleaning woman got her tip and all was right with the world. The reason I tell this story is because not only is the whole staff very nice they have integrity. The breakfast provided every morning was way above anything I expected. I never did get my ice cream.

- A great location in 10 minutes walk to the Pakhtakor metro station and Tashkent City Mall - A nice viewpoint to the Pakhtakor stadium and modern towers around - A variety of breakfast options - An amazing experience of staying in a Soviet old-fashioned hotel

Shodlik Palace was a great hotel. A good breakfast was offered. Rooms were adequate, with a nice balcony with good views. All a bit dated and run down, but ok. Hot showers. Close to many little eateries and mini marts. Half an hour walk into the city. Close to the river walk. 20mins from airport by taxi. 10 mins to train station.

I always enjoy staying here. The hotel is set a bit back from the road. It's near several parks and a metro within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice, if a bit dusty in places. The beds are comfortable and the staff is very professional.

The hotel is located near the metro station, next to one of the main streets of the city. It was easy and fast to travel around. There are nice restaurants in the area. By taxi, the hotel is approx 20 mins from the airport. The place was clean, staff was very kind, in general we had a great time.

I really like the location. A 9-story hotel building is located far from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Toshkent, but still, in the city center, you can even see the governmental buildings from your balcony. The nearest underground station is within a 10-minute walk. The room was spacious with a large bathroom equipped with a bathtub, a bidet, and two sinks. The furniture is a bit shabby though.
